1. What ring size means
1.1. In Latvia and the rest of Europe, ring size is the circumference of the finger in millimetres. Size 17 means the finger is about 53 mm around and the inner diameter of the ring is 17 mm.
1.2. Half sizes (16.5, 17.5) are half a millimetre of diameter. On the finger that difference is noticeable, which is why fine jewellery uses them often.
1.3. Measuring at home takes five minutes. Two ways are described below; both give the same result if you take your time.
2. Measuring by a ring you own
2.1. This is the most accurate way at home. Take a ring that sits well on the finger you have in mind.
2.2. Place it on a sheet of paper and mark the inner edges with a pencil — one side and the opposite one. The distance between the marks is the inner diameter.
2.3. Find that diameter in the chart in section 4 and read the matching size.
2.4. A ring from another finger will not do: even the neighbouring finger differs by half a size, sometimes a full one.
3. Measuring with a paper strip
3.1. Cut a strip of paper about a centimetre wide. Rubber bands and elastic thread will not work — they stretch and give a larger size.
3.2. Wrap the strip around the base of the finger. It should sit snugly but pass over the knuckle without force.
3.3. Mark where the end of the strip meets the start, unwrap it and measure the length up to the mark with a ruler.
3.4. That number is the circumference of your finger. Find it in the first column of the chart.

5. What throws the measurement off
5.1. Time of day. Fingers swell slightly towards the evening. A ring chosen in the morning may feel tight at night — measure in the evening.
5.2. Cold. In the cold a finger shrinks by almost half a size. Let your hands warm up first.
5.3. Band width. A wide band sits tighter than a narrow one. If the band is wider than 5 mm, take half a size up.
5.4. Knuckle. The ring should pass over the knuckle with slight effort. If it slides on freely, it will be lost.
6. Which sizes we keep in stock
6.1. Most often we have sizes from 16 to 19.5 — these are asked for almost every time. Sizes from 15.5 to 22 appear less often but do exist.
6.2. The sizes available for a particular model are shown on its page in the selection list. If a size is not there, it is out of stock right now.

7. If the size does not fit
7.1. You have 14 days to return the ring or exchange it for another size. The ring must be unworn, with the tag and in its packaging.
7.2. We exchange for another size free of charge: the return shipping in this case is on us.
7.3. Write to us before sending it back — we will help you pick the right size so you do not have to exchange twice.
7.4. Rings made to an individual design cannot be returned. We always say so before the order is placed.
