This page explains which cookies the online shop www.diamondsky.lv stores, what they are for and how to refuse them. Personal data — orders, address, e-mail — is covered separately in the Privacy policy.

1. General information

1.1. When you open our shop, some of your settings are stored right in your browser, in cookies. This page says which ones, how long they live and how to remove them.

1.2. The rules apply to every page of www.diamondsky.lv in any language.

1.3. You can refuse them at any moment through your browser. Section 6 explains how.

2. What cookies are

2.1. A cookie is a small text file that a website saves in your browser. When you come back, the browser hands it over and the shop remembers your language, currency and what you put in the cart.

2.2. It is not a program. A cookie runs nothing on your device and reads no other files.

2.3. Some cookies disappear as soon as you close the browser. Others stay until the stated date or until you delete them.

2.4. Some are set by the shop itself, others by services it uses, such as Google.

3. Why we use them

3.1. Without the technical cookies a purchase cannot happen: the cart empties as you move between pages. The legal basis is performance of the contract with you and our legitimate interest in a working site, Article 6(1)(b) and (f) of the General Data Protection Regulation.

3.2. Statistics cookies are stored when your browser settings allow it. They show which pages people open and where the shop is slow or broken, so a fault gets found even when nobody reports it.

3.3. Cookies are used for nothing else.

4. Which cookies we use

4.1. Needed for the purchase to work. These collect nothing for advertising and go nowhere:

• OCSESSID — keeps your cart, chosen delivery and account login from getting lost while you browse. Disappears when you close the browser. Ours;
• language — opens the shop in the language you picked. Stored for 30 days. Ours;
• currency — shows prices in the currency you picked. Stored for 30 days. Ours.

4.2. Visit statistics. The reports contain only anonymous figures: how many people came, which pages they viewed, phone or computer. Your name, address and order contents never appear there:

• _ga — keeps one visitor from being counted twice. Stored for 2 years. Google;
• _ga_27D6T87Q5D — holds the state of the current visit. Stored for 2 years. Google.

4.3. Form protection.

• _GRECAPTCHA — tells a person from a robot in the review, registration and contact forms, so spam does not appear under the products. Stored for 6 months. Google.

4.4. Payment. When you pay by card or from your internet bank, you move to a secure Klix by Citadele page. Card details stay with the bank, and the cookies on that page are the bank's as well.

5. Who else receives this data

5.1. Google Ireland Limited — visit statistics and form protection. Google may process this data outside the European Union under the European Commission standard contractual clauses.

5.2. AS "Citadele banka" and its Klix service — accepting payments.

5.3. Nobody else receives this information: we neither share nor sell it.

6. How to refuse cookies

6.1. The simplest way is your browser settings. There you can block third-party cookies, delete the stored ones or turn on a mode that clears them when the window closes. Short guides: Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Edge, Safari.

6.2. If only the statistics bother you, switch them off separately with the Google Analytics Opt-out add-on.

6.3. Cookies live in your browser, so the ones already stored have to be deleted by you: blocking future ones does not erase them.

7. What changes if you switch them off

7.1. Block the technical cookies and the shop becomes unusable: the cart empties between pages and the order cannot be placed.

7.2. Switch off the statistics and nothing changes for you: pages open as usual and the purchase goes through the same way.

8. Your rights

8.1. You may ask what data of yours we hold, have it corrected or deleted, object to the processing and withdraw your consent. Write to info@diamondsky.lv. We usually answer within a couple of working days; the legal deadline is one month.

8.2. If our answer does not satisfy you, you may complain to the State Data Inspectorate of Latvia (Datu valsts inspekcija), Elijas iela 17, Riga, LV-1050, www.dvi.gov.lv.

9. Changes to this policy

9.1. When the set of services on the site changes, we update this page.
